Hi there,
Can any one tell me if toys, books etc are 100 per cent tax deductible
As I would rather buy more for the children and pay less to the tax man

Thanks in advance xx

Yes they are but please don't get caught in the trap "I will buy more to pay less to the tax man" unless you need the resources. here is why

Say you spend £1000 on toys and resources. The tax you pay would be approx £200 so you have paid out £800 more than you need to. Do you really need the goods or would you rather have the £800 to you??

I don't think the tax man can see into your living room ;)

I have a laptop that I currently do my profiles and invoices on butand so on but its so slow with it being as old as the hills. If I bought a new one would I have to use it for soaly business to claim for it?

.... although, unless you have some rich clients, "The Taxman" will be funding the children's education, healthcare, etc.

No you can claim a percentage but if it were me I would use it on paper 100% childminding and use the old one for personal use
