I got locked in toilet at toddler group last year, i had left 3 mindees with another minder (dont agree with taking them to toilet with me)

Luckily i had my mobile in pocket so phoned friend to free me

I never lock toilet door at home now in case i get locked in, it was really scary

I am forever locking myself out the house!! Luckily never with mindees present though.

The first time was in our old house and oh was away for the weekend, I went to buy a Chinese and left my keys indoors, had to get a locksmith out who broke in for me!

Since being here I have done it a few times and have mastered the art of breaking in the house - scarily easy!

Would hate to be stuck in a lift...

In my old house the landlord had arranged to put a new downstairs toilet door on. It was a folding door and the moron who fitted it didn't put a handle inside. So I went toilet and shut it and it wouldn't open. Luckily my friend was in the living room and she rescued me.

Good job really as I lived alone with 2 children who were at school don't know when someone would have rescued me.

I gave that handyman loads

I got locked in my Nan's toilet when I was 6 years old - does that count?

My hero granddad busted the door down to rescue me.

Mindees locked me out once! One in car and two in house, hadnt latched door properly and they shut door on me! Workmen across road helped me we climbed next doors wall, then dh arrived home (only working down road) and climbed wall in his suit and scraped his arm on the wall, looked like a battered hubby! Attached a pic! Managed to pop open back window and I climbed in., scary!!

I got locked in the loo upstairs at home once with 2 mindees 7/8yrs downstairs, the lock just fell off in my hand when I went to open:panic: DH was just walking up the back garden to go to work so I shouted out the window for him to come back, had it been a minute later I dont know what I would have done!

Mindee baby also got stuck in the kitchen once:panic: he was asleep in the buggy and I'd shut the door so others playing wouldn't wake him, I went to open it and the spring had broken in the handle! I managed to use the broom through the cat flap to hook the buggy and pull it over to the flap, my friend then sat with her arm through the flap comforting him and making sure he had his dummy! I tried removing the handle, that didn't work so I then used a screw driver and hammer to chip away at the wood on the side of the door so I could eventually push the bit at the side in! During the process I had stopped the dustbin men to wait in case I needed there brut force to knock the door down (mindee was at other end of room), they loved that!

I went out for a walk with my DS once at 5.30am whilst staying at my DW's friend's house because he used to get up really early every day and DW needed a lie in. There were lots of her friend's sleeping around the house. Bleary eyed I opened the front door and stood in the porch. Shut the front door, now locked, turned to open the porch, locked. Tried DW's phone, off. There I was stood in the smallest room in the house with DS, both doors locked. The only thing I could do was shout 'help', quietly at first, then louder....woke everyone else....so much for leaving quietly!

A couple years ago it seems that all the doors in our house decided not to work - one morning mindee arrived but I couldn't get out of my bedroom! Phoned my Dad and in the meantime mindee arrived, my son let her in and I hung out my window to tell Dad that help was on the way! In the next few weeks both my son's got stuck in their rooms plus the upstairs bathroom (escaped through the window as no one home eeekkk!) as well as the lounge...... :panic:

Needless to say that most of the doors are untrustworthy and we don't shut them properly..

Are you my neighbour?

I got locked out this morning for the first time in way to school. Luckily all the children were in car safely not still in the house.

My neighbour has a spare and she'd not left for school yet either. Phew!

I've been locked in he toilet at work once. Our office building was part of the station so we all had a key to ensure none of the public decided to use the toilets. We were all so well trained that a colleague left the toilets and locked me in with no key hole on the inside. I shouted help but no one could hear, eventually my boss came looking for me as I'd been missing from my desk for over half an hour. How embarrassing!

Hubby locked us out of his car once. He was loading the car up as we were going to the Lake District for a friends wedding but making a weekend of it so I had made a picnic for us to stop off on the way to eat. Anyway he somehow managed to lock the car keys in the car. :panic: 2 hours later, the AA finally got the keys free so we could be on our way. Needless to say picnic got eaten on the way in the car!!!

Then a couple of Christmas's ago, infact it was Christmas day, we told inlaws NOT to close the bathroom door fully as the lock was playing up. All went well until after the starter when we found dopey fil had shut the door and it was firmly stuck!! Bil tried for an hour to get the door open without any damage but by this time a queue for the loo was forming and the Christmas dinner was getting rather well done. When door was open all bil could say was where was the dinner  We did laugh about it although the £100 bill wasn't funny :panic:

I got locked out our first house but had my car keys so had to drive 20 miles to DH work (he was on nights) to get house key!

A few years later and in our current house I got locked in! Had left my house keys in the car when I came in from work, then hubby left early next morning to start his shift and locked the door. I was heavily pregnant at tge time and had to squeeze out the back downstairs window so I could get the keys out of the car.

I'm still rubbish with keys can never find them!

When ds was about 20 mths, I took him & a mindee to the park ... we got home & I realised I had left keys inside house. Luckily had my purse with me.
Mum arrived to pick up mindee & went home. I opened back gate & put buggy by back door.
I had already arranged to meet dh for lunch, so instead of driving, we went by train. (Lived close to station) ... met dh, had lunch, got dh house keys, got train home ...
Went into house, there were my keys sitting on the side...
I went to unlock back door to bring buggy in ...

Have you guessed?

Yep...it was unlocked!!!!

Still, we had a nice day out!

I managed to get into my porch with one LO to collect another from preschool, closing the door to the house. I then realised I didn't have the keys. Luckily for me I have a brilliant neighbour who ran me to the preschool. Meanwhile OH came home from work about 8 miles away to let me in. He was just pulling up outside when I got back from preschool in the neighbours car.

That was a lucky day for me, with some very good support x:blush:

Nearly got locked in Oxfam a few years ago when I went into changing room to try something on - they forgot I was in there and turned all lights off and were about to lock up and leave!

When I worked as an accounts assistant many years ago I was always getting locked in our branch of Midland when I went to pay in cheques, as I would arrive just as they were closing but they would always let me in and then lock the doors - sometimes I would get there after they had closed and they would still let me in, if I knocked - it helped that the bosses wife used to work there!
