This is the question in the prep paper

What sources of help might you find for children who are not developing in line with expectations?

I have come up with....

• Completely depends on what the concern is.
• Speak to health visitor, parents etc
• Parents
• Health Visitor
• Children centre
• Local Authority
• Professional Association for Childcare & Early Years (formally NCMA)
• Local Childminding Support & Development Officers
• Sign post parents to other professional services

This is the one question I am not too sure on. Can anyone else add based on your experience of the pre-reg or what you think I might need to say?

Thank you :-)

Sounds pretty comprehensive to me. Where I am the local authority childminder contact is called the Inclusion Support Worker.

Remember to explain that you would obtain parents' permission before seeking advice/ sharing identifying details with any of those other people.

Thank you I had thought of that but forgot to make a note of it.

Don't forget liaison with other settings the child might attend - again with parents written permission in place first.

Good luck! :D
