Thought you might like to see a couple of Easter Hats we made for the Easter Parade tomorrow at pre-school.

First picture is my 3yr old mindees hat, he is a huge Spiderman fan, he loved making it and wouldn't take it off.

Pictures 2 and 3 are before and after shots of a hat my 4yr old mindee made, she did everything on it with only a little guidance from me.

I googled Easter Spiderman thinking it would come up with nothing but images bought up loads including the spiderman on the front of the hat, one on the back which says Happy Easter and other images like spiderman egg shapes. On the side of the hat he decorated foam bunny shapes with cotton wool, stickers and felt tips so lots of his own work just wanted to get spiderman in there somewhere to show his interests. We just did a bit every day for a week and he loved it.

Easier than they look really and a short time every day for a week.

The mummy sheep is just loads of cotton wool easy and effective over the hat's dome, the lambs are half of an toilet roll inner tube, covered upright with cotton wool and filled with cotton wool too. Faces for everyone, shredded green tissue paper for grass and felt flowers.

You can't see but we hung some bells on the rims of both hats so they jingle when the lo walks.

Love the hats!

My ds doesn't like hats unless they are very much "his" and he also isn't keen on craft. So this year we bought pastel coloured flexible plastic buckets from the 99p shop and a pack of Easter stickers - he had great fun using every single sticker and has covered it and it fits well on his head! Doesn't look amazing but it is his and he will wear it and use it after so that'll do for me!
