I went on a play conference yesterday and it was fab. I have been obsessing lately over what toys to buy the kids so they dont get bored and after yesterday have suddenly realised I dont need toys. I got some really good ideas of what I could do but most were aimed at school age children. Does anybody know of any good ideas for early years kids or know of any good books I could buy.

Ime so excited about doing new things with the children. :clapping:

A tray of small pasta/rice and scoops, cups, funnels. Lots of pouring and pretending keeps them busy.

mine love den building , playing with pots and pans , lentils , oats etc and pretending to cook , cake trays and flour and water mix , wooden spoons and sieves

I find that they often concentrate longer on an activity that is toy free , we also have cardboard box days , where all the toys are removed and replced by all the boxes ive been collecting , great for imagination
