Just downloaded 2 simple early years app from google play store. Seems very good and like it will save a lot of time and maybe even paperwork! Hopefully of some use to someone?

I have been using the free app for three months and love it. Use it for all my observations. The drop down development matters selection is fab. No more page turning!!

Sadly it doesnt work on blackberry playbook....
I use it in my iPhone.
You can have five free reports, email them to yourself then delete. I have used the free one for months now.
Actually I am considering paying the £33 or whatever it is as I feel guilty as it is so good.

You have to keep clearing the logs. Do it through the dates

Ive been using this app for about 4 months now, I send it daily to parents and print out any relevant obs for LJ, its fab. Does anyone know what extras you get if you pay the monthly fee?

Hi Starfish, have you had to pay anything for using this app all that time? x

jadavi

Nothing to pay as long as you don't exceed five reports

Emmalou77
01-04-2013, 12:22 PM
what is the monthly fee if we exceed 5 reports?

jadavi
01-04-2013, 01:28 PM
It's about £40 a year. You can delete reports after you e emailed them to yourself. I still haven't bought the full version / don't really need to. .

The single brilliant feature about this is the drop down menu of dev matters to link with your evidence. Acc to my RAG lady, Ofsted require to see ages with eyfs links now and this is done for you.

i have already done a dummy report and emailed it to myself to see how it looks. what a waste. i guess i could enter observations for a year before emailing a report! thanks for the info its a really good price :-)

jadavi
02-04-2013, 01:04 AM
What do you mean what a waste? You mean it didn't work? Was no good?
You can endlessly keep 5 reports going.
As long as you don't exceed 5 you can use it.
I do one and email it then delete it and start from scratch for the next one , I don't store any. I have them all on my email - probably 50 by now.

This app looks great. My concern with not buying it is that everyone is logged on with the same eyfs user name and password and you can not change it. Does this then mean the developers have control over your account? I will go onto their website and check it out.

Emmalou77

Im thinking you can only do five and then email them then after that any more you pay for but from what your saying, if i understand you right, you can have five running at any one time without charges.

jadavi
03-04-2013, 08:06 PM
Yes you can do as many as you like as long as you delete them after and don't have more than 5 on the go at one time,

If you pay the yearly fee you can see it all on line and look at and keep the reports etc. As I stick them all in my lJs I dont need to do that.

I've been using it for a while now and have paid the annual fee, think it was £30. I constantly use it and you can change the fields to suit yourself. I think it is well worth the money.

Go to the date section and have start date months ago then all the old ones will appear that haven't been deleted but were not showing.

This app doesn't work with my phone but a cm friend who has struggled for years to find an easy way to observe and record loves it and recommends it.

Hi I have just downloaded this today and had a little play! Looks good! I emailed a report I made up and it showed all learners. If you switch to choose learner will it send a report off just ins child? I don't like the idea of having more than kind child in a report. Also would you print it to keep in their journal or keep electronically? If electronic would you email it to parents? Just trying to get an idea of how best to use. I like the idea of the quickness of it and I think it would be easy to keep on top of. I like easy!!

Emmalou77
26-05-2013, 07:50 PM
I have my pics under my class rather than learners and do print off to put in learning journey but its all new to me too at the moment. Best thing to do is just do what you feel is best for you and parents, you will probably change it the more you learn. Good luck :-)
