Just had this email from NDNA
National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) would like to invite you to attend our Pre-consultation Event open to all non members. This will give you the opportunity to hear all about our excellent benefits packages. You will then be given the option to become a member of the NDNA and gain FREE entry to the consultation, or should you decide not to join you would then have the option to pay £30.00 per person for entry. This will enable you to join us and take part in the Department for Education’s (DfE) Great Childcare - Raising Quality and giving parents more choice.

This informal pre-consultation meeting will start at 1pm for an hour and will include a light lunch.

Places are limited we therefore recommend that you reply by Friday 8th March to avoid disappointment.

To book a place at the pre consultation event please contact Julie Blangsted / Louisa Heron on 01484 407074

National Day Nurseries Association - More Great Childcare Consultation

Join the voice of the industry and help shape the future

The Consultation

More Great Childcare sets out government proposals including changes to ratios, qualification requirements and the role of Ofsted. These proposals will have a major impact on children, families and nurseries and we want members to have their say.

This event is taking place in Bolton on Tuesday 12th March 2013 at the De Vere Whites at Reebok Stadium

The event will run from 14.00 to 17.00.

The consultation event will be chaired by Purnima Tanuku (CEO) and will begin with an overview of the consultation. Gareth Conyard, Assistant Director, Effective Regulation and Inspection, Department for Education (DfE) will lead on the overview at the beginning of the event and I am delighted to say that Minister Elizabeth Truss will also be joining us at this event; subject to Parliamentary business. There will be time for questions at the end of the event. At the event, members will break into groups to discuss the consultation document. At the end of these sessions, groups will be asked to feedback to the DfE representatives and fellow delegates on their findings. Findings from the events will be used by NDNA to represent the sector’s views to the government.
