I used to live in Thornley, a little village close to Durham. Now live 'down south' but miss home lots!

Thornley is close to where I live. We used to go camping at Strawberry Hill Farm on the way to Thornley. Small World

I know Strawberry Hill Farm! I do miss the area a lot, was born in Thornley but moved South when I married my hubby about 16 years ago.
Wouldn't believe how many Geordies I bump into here, we get everywhere! lol :laughing:

Yep we do get everywhere tho I was born in Huddersfield and moved to Durham when I was 6. I got married and moved to Bermuda and there were loads of geordies there :D

My husband is from Sunderland. I know it well. SAFC is my team and Fluff is my nickname, hence safcfluff. Sounds crazy, an apt description though.

My Daughter plays football for Willington Ladies under 16 although they train and play in Durham. The older team plays and trains in Willington and we had our christmas party at the clubhouse in Willington.

I'm around 20 mins away from Durham....in the opposite direction to Thornley ( I used to work there in my previous life with the Health Visitors)

We've just been on a spring trip to 'Down at the Farm' near Houghton le Spring, it was brilliant! I'm about 20 miles from Durham.
