New childminder

Hi folks!


This is my first time on here and I'm hoping for some advice please..... I've just made the decision to become a childminder, and I don't know where to start!

I've got the space, I've worked in a very large school for the last 5 years and both my children will be at school in September so I'd like to start then (I live near Liversedge in Kirklees).

Can anyone help me - where to go for training courses etc?

You need to contact your local authority - early years - to ask about courses.

You cannot register until you have completed the course and every LA is different.

You will find lots of information and support on here ! :D
