Which area do you link sensory/messy play to? Does it depend on the outcome of activity, or an observation that may arise? It links to so many development areas that i'm not sure where to add it to my planning!!

It could link to them all in many ways. It could be personal development if its new and a big thing for said child if they don't like getting hands dirty etc but show willingness to try. It could be expressive arts and design as they could express feeling of likes/dislikes etc for said activity or copy the things that you do. If you think outside the box ifykwim? I find that many of my obs don't directly link to a specific sentence in development matters so I write my own obs and they generally cover most areas in one activity as long as you can write what they gained from each area. Hope that helps but then I'm still learning to (newbie of 5 months). I'm sure there will be lots of great advice to follow. x
