Advice please

I am a qualified nanny(norland trained DCE LEVEL3)
I want to start my own childminding business from home.After speaking to a lady at the NRMCA she said I would have to complete the 40hour online child minding course.Seems odd as I hold recognised child care qualification.
Would appreciate any advice. Thanks.:confused::

All newly registering childminders - regardless of previous qualifications or jobs - have to take an introduction to childminding course.

It's the law, written into the EYFS which is statutory - EYFS | Foundation Years (http://www.foundationyears.org.uk/eyfs)
