Article this morning on BBC news, titled Parents angry over childcare plans. Talks about a petition with over 11,000 signatures. Sorry I can't put a link, I saw it on my BBC news iPhone app.

I am not sure which petition they are referring to - or they are using old news - but it's great that the message is getting out there.

Everyone who is petitioning, lobbying and getting involved in telling the govt how we feel about the plan should be very proud! :clapping:

I've just followed the link and read it - is it just me or does it really say we'll be having 4 under the age of one year??
need to find my specs!

No it says that there are 'separate changes for childminders'. The 1 to 4 baby ratios is in nurseries only. Had a mum round today who is horrified about the possible ratio changes in nurseries. She liked the fact that I am going to keep my ratios smallish even with an assistant.

I'm wondering if ratio plans are dropped will that make agencies unsustainable, surely they need us to take so many children for the numbers to stack up, hoping the funding thing for good and outstanding still changes though, with a funded course to help those who want to do it
