i closed today with flu like symptons. spent morning in bed, couldn't move, but by 1ish, was feeling more or less 'normal'! talking to mums at school, there are several who have had this ... seems to be a totally debilitating 24 hr thing.

Hope you feel better soon, I am so happy not working today as have a lovely chest infection just got to get through tomorrow as have new mindee starting then can spend the week-end resting.

That was me yesterday, and I'm still a wee bit groggy today though feeling a whole lot better than yesterday. I was never actually sick, but felt sick for 24 hours and had aches/pains all over. Hopefully you too will also be over the worst within 24 hours.
My main mindee has had it for 3 days with little sign of recovery.
The grandchildren have all had it in turn over the past week. One of them was sent home from infant school around 1430 on Tuesday. At 1000 Wednesday they phoned to ask if he'd be coming in that day. So much for HPA guidelines! Needless to say, the school is graded 'outstanding.' :panic:

I had to close today as my son came down with it last night, 2 of my mindees have it (one ended up in hospital with it!) and I've just found out that 15 kids were off from my son's class and that his school sent over 50 kids home with it today alone! :eek:

Oh my goodness, maybe this is what was wrong with me today, and my main mindee.
I am so glad I have tomorrow off.

My mindee didn't come today as he had a sudden cough and a bit of a rash today. Now just this evening I feel a bit 'off'.
