Hi,

One parent has asked to fill in a feedback questionnaire, she wants to give great feedback (which is lovely) but I have only been working with her for a month. Would you send one out and then maybe ask for another one to be filled out after a few months as well to see if you have improved?

Thanks for any help

Hi Claire, I would send it out now! I send mine out twice a year, or if a mindee leaves etc..Its a great way to see what parents think and like you say you can see if youre improving! Go for it xx

If she's asked for one give it!

I give one out just before the 4 week settling in period is up anyway, then one every 6 months. It's a good way of keeping those channels of communication open and starts dialogue if parents have something on their mind but don't know how to broach it

I'm fairly new so have only sent out questionnaires once so far - at the end of the settling in period (which was after six weeks with my two part time mindees). I plan to send out questionnaires every six months and again when a child leaves my care.

I'm doing a short three week contract for another child which ends next week - mum will be getting a questionnaire. Mum is a friend so hopefully she'll fill it in :)

What are these questionnaires? I must be a really bad childminder as i have only ever sent children's ones out in the past and not for a long time:blush: (been a childminder for a long time) could i see one? or PM me one? interested to see what i'm not doing.

I send out a parents and child's questionnaire every term - I do it at the same time I ask the parents to look at the LJ's. If you google 'parent questionnaire' you get loads of results to give you ideas. My is attached though.

Thanks everyone, I have sent it out to her and she is going to complete for me, I shall keep it in mu file for my first Ofsted Inspection. I guess I will send one out about every 6 months to each parent that I have.
