Thought I was doing really well and had my tax return submitted and paid this afternoon, then found a pile of receipts that I haven't included. Dh says I can use them on my next tax return for this year, is that right??

Grrr hate it when that happens!
I'm not sure if you can include them next year. You can take over a loss but not sure about receipts.

just add them up and put in an ammendment to this years return, if they are dated, u cant take them over to next year.

like lilylulu says do an amendment, you can't carry them forward as you spent the money in the tax year 2011/12
No, you can't carry them forward to the next tax year.
I've not heard of doing a amendment though but I guess it makes sense that you can. I guess it's down to how much the reciepts add up to & is it worth the hassle.

Just go back into your tax return and change it. You can do this any time up to 31/1/2014.
