Hi,

Ive told my full timer parent that Ofsted are coming and he asked what do they need to do, I think he thought Ofsted would contact them !! I said I wasn't sure

I asked my parents to provide a written reference that is all, nice for the inspector to read what parents of minded children feel about your setting as they are the ones who all matter the most:-) good luck.

Yes, same here, about once a year I ask my parents if they will write a few points down about what they feel are good and could do better points about my business. So far they have all been lovely, and last year when I had two long term contracts ending I asked both sets of parents if they would write recommendations for me, and both wrote lovely things. It is really encouraging. I have kept them to show at my next inspection and also to use in my SEF.

I got lovely letters off the parents to have in my file, ofsted read them and even added a quote from one of them in my report do well worth doing.
