me again! :) is this ..... https://www.education.gov.uk/publications/eOrderingDownload/Development-Matters.pdf something that is good to refer to so we have a good idea at what a child should roughly be doing in their age bracket? was going to print it off so its at hand to flick through when doing obs etc? x

Yes this is an essential tool when assessing a child after your observation. Once you make an observation, have a think about which area of development (maybe more than one) your obs falls under. Then have a look at the statements and see which one best fits what you observed. You can use the last two columns for your next steps (positive relationships and enabling environments).

The statements are only best fit so don't worry if it says rolled a ball and you observed him/her rolling something else.

excellent, thankyou, will get it printed off now, am literally waiting for them to call with my appt for my pre-reg visit so want to impress them as much as poss! :)
