What do you use for your learning journals?

I use a ring binder and put everything into plastic wallets but ide like to cut down on paper and wallets and maybe try a scrapbook type LJ. Dont know how i will put obs and assessments in though. Any ideas?

I use a nice looking A4 pad, put a picture of the child and their name on the front. I stick in my observations and assessments (I use Orbit Early Years website to do them) and any other pictures and artwork (well photos of artwork as I send originals home).
I don't find it too much work doing it this way.

I used to use scrap books, stuck everything in with pritt stick or double sided tape.
I now use an assessment folder off eBay, it's a folder with wallets already in so no clips, little ones can handle them and dribble on them without ruining the paper.

The cheap evidence books have twenty pages but if you bulk buy off e bay they have forty and end up about £1.20 each.

I used to use a scrapbook, but changed to a ring binder with pastic wallets as it is easier to add bit in or rewrite something if ou have made a mistake. I was putting together one of my scrap boos and realised I had missed a page in the book, so there were 2 blank pages in the middle of it all. This doesn't happen with a ring binder :)

I use a binding machine then you can open them up and shuffle paper work around if you need to.

hope this helps
