Im confused, do i need to do a return

I last did my return April time last year, is that me done until April this year or do I need to do it now? I'm hearing people talk about getting theirs done so wonder if I've gone wrong somewhere

Do you have an online account with HMRC? You can log in and check your situation at any time.

Did you pay any tax due in April? If not, the deadline for payment is 31 January.

This is also the deadline for 2011/12 returns, so if you successfully filed that in April you won't have to do another return until after the end of the 2012/13 tax year in April, deadline 31 January 2014.
