I'm taking mine down tomorrow as back to work on Wednesday and the tree is taking up too much space since we moved it to bring back
the dining table in for xmas dinner.

When is everyone else taking theirs down?

i always think the house looks bare without the tree though!

We'll be taking ours down next weekend as my parents are coming to stay on Friday so have it a bit Christmassy for then, but then my boy's 5th b'day on Monday so want the Christmas stuff out of the way by then.

12th night is actually Jan 6th and this is traditionally when xmas finishes. If any decorations are missed they then have to stay up until easter!!

I narrowed mine down on Boxing Day then everything else came down on the 28th :) dusty un-coordinated yacky stuff lol( I'm a bit ocd lol). If I didn't have kiddies it would be just a tree, lights and the decs the kids have made in their younger years.

Mine has all gone too. Took it down on Friday as I had a spare afternoon and all the christmas stuff drives me crazy, constantly having to put cards back up, retrieving glittery baubles out of my 8 month olds mouth and hoovering tinsel up every 5 minutes.:D

Coming down on saturday. I like to do a spring clean at the same time so it has to be the weekend this year

Mine would usually come down today while my lot were still sleeping off hangovers!! However, I am under instructions from my neighbour that I had enough bad luck last year that the tree stays up until the 6th January so as not to tempt anymore!!! :panic:

Mine came down today, tbh was going to do it sooner but we had friends stay over for newyears eve and I wanted it to look abit festive but all put away now, had abit of a change around and not bought out all the toys so looks so much bigger, going to try and keep it like that, not back to work till mon so going to enjoy my last week off. I have kids who see the world through autistic eyes, so they all come down whenever the kids start to find it overwhelming. It changes each year depending on the house we are in, the way they are up and what else is going on. This year it all went the day after boxing day, next year they might be up until well into January.
Although the ceiling decorations are still up cos I can't reach them, DH is deployed till easter and the 6ft4 teens haven't gotten round to removing them yet lol.

Hi what type of paint did you use to paint on the window.

I put a little washing up liquid in the paint, just to help things along when they have to be washed off.

Well I have taken mine down today as well as a good clear out.

My boys room is spotless and woe be tide them if they mess it up again. I have moved the toy cupboard out of the hall and into their room. I have sorted out the toys and moved any surplus to requirements at the minute to the loft.

Dare I say I have even brought a coffee table for the living room oh my goodness :laughing:
