Hi,

I'm in the process of registering a self employed assistant.

She's asked me a few questions to which i've been able to help but I don't know what expenses she can claim for...does anyone else have any idea?

I would have thought that most items purchased would be purchased by you, other than petrol if she is going to take minded children in her car (with parents permission and business insurance), I can't think of any other expenses - as anything she bought on your behalf (craft materials, soft play entrance, toddlers) would be refunded by you.

What arrangement do you have in place? Are the children going to be hers and as such she will pay for their toddler fees, craft materials, trips out etc. or are they your children she is assisting with and you cover all the day to day expenses.

All children are mine, so I will be covering everything.

Are you paying for her training, like first aid etc.? If not, she can claim for her training.
