I've just been sent an Email from my local childminding association about OFSTED reg fees.
Following the Government consultation ‘Childcare Act 2006: Future Approach to Fees and Subsidies’ on the introduction of fees for childcare registration, the voice of Childcarers has been heard. The new fees are as follows:
1 (childminders)
£20 - 2007
£25 - 2008
£30 - 2009
£35 - 2010
2 (other provision)
£20 - 2007
£25 - 2008
£30 - 2009
£35 - 2010
3 (provision above time thresholds)
£155 - 2007
£180 - 2008
£200 - 2009
£220 - 2010
Sessional care providers moving to band 3 but not paying band 3 levels at present
£20 - 2007
£25 - 2008
£30 - 2009
£50 - 2010
- Band 1: Childminders
- Band 2: Other provision not captured by band 1 or 3 (likely to include sessional / after school care operating reduced days or term/holiday time only
- Band 3: Provision operating for at least 45 weeks per year AND at least 5 days per week AND at least 3 hours per day. This will cover full day care and out of school care operating all the year round
I guess this means we won't have to pay the £100+ reg fees now. :D
