Re. accounting for food, working out the cost of 1/2 cauliflower, 1/4 a bag of salad etc. for my accounts is getting tedious. Do you just put a price down in your accounts per child, per meal? If so what cost do you put down in the book?

Thanks. :)

Do it for a month, average out the cost, then review every few months - if you notice your shopping bill goes up or down, review again.

I use my shopping receipt each week. Divide it by number of mindees and family members to give you a per head cost and then multiply by mindees. If you have the same number all the time do it monthly.

Take off anything soley for household or childminding before hand and put child through 100%

Exactly what I do. But I've never been able to cost the stuff that comes straight from the allotment. ;)
