Hi

I would like to buy a second hand pushchair. We are talking a couple of hundred quid. How would I account for this in my accounts. If I buy through e-bay I would have a receipt but if I buy through newspaper ad / preloved / car boot how would I show expenditure??

Many thanks,

Jules

Hi I do exactly what Sarah has said, its always worked for me, you could type one up to take with you save the fuss and bother when you get there.

I always take pen and paper with me to car boot sales too - as need receipt if more than £10.

If it is a newspaper advert you could do the same and staple the advert onto it.

I'vebought myself a petty cash booklet, i write out a petty cash slip with the date and description of the item. I then ask the person i am buying from to sign the slip or even better received £??? cash and then sign. I obviously explain to the person why etc
