I am sorry but I am sure this has been asked before, but I have rung Ofsted and just couldnt get a straight answer.

I am signing up a before and after schoolie who is 4 and in full time school.

Am I right in thinking I dont have to plan to the EYFS goals? Will a scrap book suffice of his time with me ?

Obviously I will be planning things when he is here- but just wanted to make sure.

Thanks as always

The rules are in the EYFS - I am not sure why Ofsted couldn't answer you it's very straight forward.

Once a child is in full time school and you are only providing before and after school or holiday care you no longer have to follow the EYFS with them.

You must speak to parents and school and find out how they want you to complement their care - normally with games, fun, chilling time etc.

Hope this helps :D
