Which Safeguarding Course?

Just wondering which safeguarding course everyone has done? In all the paperwork I was given at the briefing and the registration course it says choose the "Generalist" option but the lady running the registration course said to do "Specialist."

The waiting list is a lot longer for the Specialist one and I don't want to turn up there and it be way over my head and not relevant.

It has to be approved by your Local Authority - so no more online courses unless LA say they are ok!

They aren't online courses. The briefing was run by the local authority so if the papers given out there says Generalist then I am assuming that is ok.

We have been told level one/foundation here for childminders unless you are accredited then it's level 2/core.

think its different depending on where you live...we do level one online here and thats deemed to be satisfactory
