I have an 11 year old starting, she will just be with me for 30 mins before I take her to school with my son. I'm doing it as a favour for her mum who is a friend of mine, I'm not getting paid for it. Do I need to get mum to sign any paperwork for this, do i need to get permissions signed, emergency contact details etc (I know these anyway as she is a family friend).

I would always have a contract, permissions for older children and info such as emergency contacts.

You should read the Childcare Register requirements for more information :D
