Hi
I am just completing my Policies, Procedures and Risk Assessments, but would like to understand how the Risk Assessment requirement has changed under the new EYFS changes. Do I need to still have Risk Assessments for all indoor and outdoor places I will be visiting inc my home or is it okay to now just have a general policy and procedure about it saying that I have assessed all risks and take precautions daily by checking x, y and z?
Thanks for any help :)

The revised EYFs changes the way risk assessments will be done.

There is no longer a requirement to write all your risk assessments - but you must be able to explain them to parents and Ofsted on request.

You have to ask yourself - would you be confident enough to talk an inspector through a RA if they landed on your doorstep to investigate a complaint or maybe during your inspection.

If you are the sort who can confidently say 'yes' to that question then you'll be fine.

if you are like me and need things in writing then once they are done they just need tweaking when things change and updating every year :D
