Hi all,
Please could you give me some advice on my vacancy situation.
My son is 4 and starts school next week. So I am registered to have an additional 5 children.
I am just about to have the following children on register:
7yr old, 6yr old, 2 yr old - all same family. Care consists of shift work of up to 3 days a week, either before or after school for the 2 older, and also during the day for the 2yr old.
4 yr old - after school only (3.30-5.30pm) plus full time in school holidays
1 yr old - 2/3 set days per week all year
I have an enquiry for a 2yr old for mornings only for 3 days per week - 8.30am-12.30pm.
This would obviously fit in nicely with the other hours that I currently do, but the problem arises during school holidays, when it would mean that I would have 6 under 8's, plus my own son who is also in that category.
Does anyone if this would be allowed for school holidays, or what Ofsted would say about it? It is even more complicated, as it could only be a possible scenario that may not arise each school holiday week due to the shift work!
