View Full Version : Happy for my Bestie...

But rather selfishly feeling a little sad.

All she has ever wanted was a happy relationship and a family of her own. After being divorced at 28 and a string of "not quite the ones" she has met a rather nice bloke and is moving nearly 100 miles away to live with him. Albeit on a "let's see how it goes before we do anything too permanent" basis.

We've been best friends since we were 10 and always lived in the same town as each other. I am so happy for her and really hope this works out for her as she deserves it but I will rather miss her being on my doorstep.

Not really looking for any responses, just need to get it off my chest.

How nice for her, hope it goes well this time, and understandable that you feel sad about her not being near to you anymore - we are all here though!!! Hugs, Jen x

Big hugs to you :)

I know how you feel as me and my bestie have miles between us too, although it was me that moved away.

I moved when I got married and at the time couldn't drive but once a month I caught the train to go home and met up with my bestie, that was 14 years ago. We are still as close now, nothing has changed except we now live only an hour away so meet up for shopping and lunch.

What I am saying is your friendship doesn't have to change, you will always be besties and be there for each other :)
