Hi
Please I need to develop a business plan covering the following:-
Marketing, Financial Planning and sources of support and information for the setting up and running of your home based childcare business. I would appreciate if someone could tell me how they started their business plan. I do not know where to start. Thanks

Start off by looking at the importance of each, and then bring in some bullet points as your thoughts start to develop...

eg. Marketing = Advertising so how are you going to 'advertise to your market'
Who is your market?
* Parents needing 'free time'
* Parents going back to work after maternity leave
* Parents returning to the workplace
*etc, etc, etc

Why is it important to advertise?
* to promote your business
* name recognition
* etc, etc, etc

Where are you going to advertise
* Children's centres?
* Local schools?
* Business cards?
* etc, etc, etc

I always use 'who, what, why, where, when and how' to start me off then can never shut up :laughing:
