i am so chuffed mum and dad came this morning and mum has just rang to say they want the place. just a quick question tho the place is to start in sept term time only 3 days a week so do i charge a retainer from now till sept? im not sure because we have the summer holidays in 6 weeks and she wouldnt be coming in the holidays anyway if you know what i mean

It's up to you what you charge - were you going to charge term time only mindees in the summer holidays anyway or not?

If you were then half-fee retainer seems fair but if you don't want to do that take a non-refundable (if the place isn't taken up) deposit

I've got a little one due to start in September too and I took a non-refundable deposit which was equivilent to 2 weeks fees. (he's full time.)

I wouldnt charge a retainer for the holidays as its a term time only contract but would definitly ask for a deposit!
