Do we have to use NCMA contract??

I downloaded a contract frm net w/c s free. I want to know if we can use this in court if parents mess up & things get sour. Or as NCMA member, we hav to use NCMA own contract to be covered in the future? Please help.

I think if your with NCMA you have to use their contracts.

Agree with Christine - the NCMA contracts are very detailed, if you print one from the Internet it may not cover everything.

Thank u everyone, well I might order one nxt week. Not sure how long will it take to post to me. But can I use temporary contract just in case parent wants to sign next week?

When I ordered recently the order came within a week.

If the family really want to sign with you explain you are waiting for the Contracts to arrive but are happy to take their 4 week fees deposit to confirm their place and give them a receipt. Put on the receipt your name and address and their name and address and details of when the Contract is due to start hours and the monthly cost. Both sign it and date it. They can sign the permissions form and sign to say they have read, agree to and have had a copy of your policies. They can fill in the Child's Info form, sign the Parental Responsibility form fill in the 'All About Me' Form and then do the full Contract as soon as it arrives. :thumbsup:

Thank you RS! I am aware in my area that some parents don't like paying deposit. As first time childminder i want to put it right that all families want to use my service have to pay in advance. But i dont want to ask for a deposit coz this will put them off.

What is ur opinion on this?
