Hi all,
In the process of registering but have interest from a neighbour who wants me to do school pick up for her daughter (I will still be pre reg in September so have told her it has to be in her house until I register). I am going to her house this weekend to have a chat but was wondering:
1) as I am not in my own home does that affect my hourly rate of £4.50?
2) do OFSTED expect childminders to create portfolios for children who are school pick ups?
3) would I still need to get the necessary paper work (contracts/policies etc) ready for start of Sept even if I'm not yet registered?
Thanks!!

If you are not registered then you work as a nanny.

You can be self employed (make sure you tell tax office) and should be insured on nanny insurance - you can't get childminding insurance until you are registered.

No you do not need to do learning and development paperwork for school age children.

Hth :D
