Do you have to be accredited to accept a 2 year old with funding?

Yes you do and in most areas at the moment the 2yr old, I think has to be referred via the local Sure Start Children's Centre.

Different areas have different criteria to be able to accept 2yr old funding
our was that you had to be on network and have L3 or above, good or above grading and so on.

However , it appears our LA are relaxing some of these criteria to quality now...

In Somerset you have to be accredited to accept anyone on funding.

They are changing the way parents access the 2yr old entitlement and from Sept it will be through a setting/cm.

As Mrs Dolphin says, for the two year old funding you have to be outstanding or Good.
Its the funding for the 15 hours nursery education you have to be accredited
