I'm thinking of getting one of these . Anyone got any experience of them good or bad? Giving uo my beloved ford galaxy in part exchange cos daughter learning to drive and not transporting little ones so much any more.
Advice much appreciated!

Bumping in the hope of an answer... Always post too early and it gets missed!

A ford "what" zetec? I have a ford cmax zetec. Zetec is the standard of the fitments. Eg it will have alloy wheels and air con as standard. My cmax is great but only 5 seats. I want an s-max which is 7 seater. Which one do you want to know about? I will be taking my p&t buggy to a local car supermarket to try out the boots before I buy.

I have had a Skoda Octavia since 2000 and love it (changed for a new one ever few years!) Wouldn't use anything else. It is basically a VW but cost thousands less to buy, I can fit 3 baby seats along the back seat and a 4th in the front, I can isolate the air bag just using the key. I get 45 50mpg just running around locally.

The boot is so big I can get a double buggy, a single buggy and a months shopping in. I am 5'5" and i can't reach the back of the boot!!

I only pay £90 car tax and my insurance is very reasonable as well.

We had a Ford Escort for years and I had had a Fiesta before that. When we went to change the aging Escort Ford were so disinterested and unhelpful a friend suggested we look at Skoda. We have never looked back. My dh has had cheap second hand run around Skoda and is now on his second in 10 years.

Thanks. It's official name is ' ford zetec climate' 1.4 so I'm told. Our local garage dealer has found it for us and likes it for reliability etc

ford zetec climate doesnt exist....i will probably be a ford focus zetec climate.

as i have said we have the ford cmax zetec 2.0 diesel and its very reliable....cheap to run and the parts are cheap too. we send it to our local mechanic and he always says its one of his favourite cars to work on.

They don't do a focus in a 1.4 engine (I don't think anyway! I checked the estate version) Is it a big car? Estate? 5 seat?

parsleypetal - my SIL has an S-Max (Titanium) and she has always been very happy with it but recently she had an accident and someone went into the back of her and she had a hire car. She was given a Peugeot 807 (?) 7 seater and she couldn't believe the difference in driving it. She said it was so much lighter and easier to drive and is actually considering changing the car now :)
DH is actually a bit of a 'petrol head' and loves Fords (he's got 2 at the moment and both of them are 20 years old and well loved!) and he was so reluctant to look at 7 seaters as he didn't like the S-Max. I ended up with a Renault Grand Scenic! It does the job and it was cheap to buy
