just wanted some advice really i have my emergency evacuation procedure written up in my fire drill log book, was just wandering if we need to have it up on display anywhere and does it need to contain all different telephone numbers i.e gas board, water authority, as im pretty sure id probably just dial 999 in panic if anything was to happen!

I haven't got mine up, I think if you go through the procedure often enough the children wil know what to do, and will follow your instructions, as for numbers on it, you wouldn't stop to get the log book if you had to get out, you would just go and call 999,

I do have the contact numbers for gas/electric/water/local police in my emergency plan and I do have that displayed on the wall along with a floor plan of the house but I don't believe it is something we HAVE to do. I like to know I have all the numbers to hand (and in my mobile phone of course)!
