Hi
Just wondering.
When a child leaves your care do we have to keep parental permission forms and policies/procedures that parents have signed?
I know we have to keep the medication and accident/incident forms and I'v chosen to keep hold of contracts for now (although not sure if thats a requirement) but not sure about the other forms.
Thanks
Lisa :)

The LJ and Developmental records go with the child.

I keep the childs file with all their contracts, permission forms, medicine and accident records and signed attendance sheets and a photo, filed away in my attic until the child is 21 years old. If a claim was made by a child from that long ago and they hadn't been in my care that long I wouldn't remember who they were. They don't take up that much room in a box in the attic!

I have been minding 18 years and have just shredded my first file!!! :clapping:

I have lots aged between 18 and 21 now so am looking forward to startiong the first real cull next year!!!

My obs and next steps are in the LJ so yes that would be passed on. i do very little written planning and so no that would not be passed on.
