Do I need to have a risk assessment for every room I use for minding? Do I need to fill them in daily? Has anyone got an example one I could see please? Trying to figure out all this paperwork is hard :panic:

Yes you do have to do a risk assessment for the rooms you use.

Have a look at these to give you some ideas.

I visually check my rooms every day.

Thank you. Do you keep a record that you've visually checked them every day?

You have to have one for all the rooms you use and for your garden. However they do not have to be completed each day.

I use the South Glos ones as my template they are very good.

I used to have a daily check list which I listed under each of the areas in the house used and one for the garden.

I had things like check all cleaning materials are put away out of reach
All cables out of the way
Anything my family had used was cleared
Toilet cleaned
hand basin cleaned
new towels out
blind cords out of the way
floors swept and mopped

etc.

I have a copy of the list of all such things that are checked every day in my RA folder but I don't physically tick off a list everyday any more. Ofsted were happy with this when i was inspected last year.

Here are two examples of daily lists that might help if you want to keep a check list
