Hi - I need some advice please! I have been looking after my mindee for nearly a year now and would like to review and increase my hourly rate by
30p. This will result in an extra £11 per week for the family to pay.

I really don't know how to approach the family about this and how to word it! Is it okay to review the hourly rate (I thought I would do this alongside reviewing my policies with the family on an annual basis) - or I am stuck with this as stated in our contract?

(This is my first mindee !)

Thankyou

I use NCMA contracts and they have a review date on them which I choose usually between 6 and 12 months.

Otherwise , if I want to increase fees then I write a letter giving notice of the increase. I give at least the amount of notice I have in the contracts.

We have been trying to decide how to go about it as well

We want to do an increase in september, so trying to decide when we will inform parents. The main one I have concerns about has had the same rate for 3 years now so she has no reason to complain, but I know she will!

I don't see why you shouldn't have a small yearly increase, if you want to. My fault for not doing it last year. We were debating giving notice of an increase at the beginning of june, and new children starting will be charged at the new, higher rate from the start
