A new client has just signed up today but he wants copies of everything they have signed such as the parental responsibility etc. I have already given his copy of the contract and child record form but he is adamant he wants everything he has signed. AM I allowed to give it to him?

Of course! To be honest, I can't believe more parents don't want copies of everything they have signed!

I always give my new parents a folder with:

A copy of the contract and all the other forms they have signed, PR,Permissions and consents, child info form and next of kin form.

A copy of my Policies and Complaints procedure.

A copy of my Ofsted Report. (we have to give this to all parents)

A list of any holiday dates already booked.

A Leaflet about EYFS

I do this so no parent can say they haven't signed .... and they have a copy of the Polices and Permissions I have asked them to sign and agree to so they can refer to them.

I offer copies of everything - most parents say they don't want them so I show them where they are stored in my files.

I always give parents a copy of everything it helps to prevent misunderstanding at a later date.
