I am just reading through the changes to EYFS made in May 08, I was pleased to see the following:

Page 26 - Medicines, statutory guidance the 3rd paragraph has been amended in response to concerns raised by providers. It maintains the flexibility to give non-prescription medication that currently exists in the National Standards for Day Care and Childminding.

We are able to give calpol after all :clapping: :clapping:

I have the whole document if anyone wants it

good im glad we are able to give calpol ect still.
i would be very worried if a child had a high temp ect and i couldnt give it something
sometimes its no possible for a parent to get to us in 10 mins , i would hate it if could give them someting while waiting for a parent to arrive

yes a relief to know that we can give calpol, like foxy lady said in her post a parent is not always only 10 mins away and a dose of calpol whilst you wait for them to arrive for their sick child can make all the difference
