Hi All,
I am hoping someone will be able to help me as I would like to get my tax return sorted this weekend but cannot get through to Tax Office (was holding for 20 mins).

I currently get £60 in-work credit from the DWP, do I have to declare this on the tax form as earnings?

Many thanks
Sue

No, you don't count it as earnings but there will be a section on the form somewhere that asks what benefits you received and the notes will tell you which ones it wants you to note down.

In-work credit is not taxable so it doesn't go anywhere on your tax return (you do need to declare it for Tax Credit purposes though).

A full list of benefits that don't go on your tax return is here (http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/manuals/eimanual/EIM76100.htm).

Thank you very much.

I'll crack on with the return now :)
