Remember that you take 10% off your gross income as an expense to cover wear and tear.

I spend different amounts depending on the children I have, their interests and what needs replacing. A couple of years ago I spent just over £300 on a Brum Pedal Car and that year I bought two new travel cots, a car seat and a single buggy.

Last year I prob. only spent £100 for the whole year and some of that was new paint, sand and other perishables.

Haven't done this years accounts yet so no information there but

2010/11 = £2600 and 2009/10 = £2400

Hope that helps

Please can you tell me whats the difference between purchasing toys and equipment and putting down for general 'wear and tear'? does Wear and tear cover replacements for broken items whereas investing in new toys and games and so on is just an expense?
what does wear and tear cover?
I thought it was more aimed for the wear and tear of our property and furnishings??
sorry to be so confused!

wear and tear covers items within your home such as carpets/curtains/furniture whereas equipment is new and replacement toys/crafts/resources/equipment etc
