Default Chinese Dancing Dragon - all ages can be involved

I thought I would let you all see the dancing dragons that we made this morning with my own little girl who is 2 and half and a 22 month and 17 month old mindee.

We used a dragon template from here http://www.activityvillage.co.uk/pdf...n_template.pdf. I let the children decorate them, and then i stuck them on cardboard. The children them had a go at helping me to concertina the paper to make the movebale body.

Once dry I cut the dragons in half, stuck the concertina body inbetween and attached 2 lolly pop sticks.

We then spent the next 20 minutes dancing around the living room to chinese music whilst making our dragons dance. Lots of fun by all.

    How lovely is your picture!

I also did this this with a group of Child Minders and mindees this morning. This afternoon we have looked at our books about the dragon dance and been attempting it. Great fun had by all.

Love it! I'm going to do that tomorrow. Can I ask where you found some appropriate Chinese music?
