I am doing a topic around the Gruffalo story, has anyone got any ideas that they could share with me please.

that's going to be my next story sack so i will check idea's too if thats ok sorry no idea's of my own yet, if i do i will share! i have just ordered the story, colour book and dvd from Amazon.

I photocopied the characters onto card, cut them out, laminated them and added lolly sticks to make puppets (sticks from the top rather than the bottom). I also photocopied some of the pages and laminated them to make a backdrop. The children love acting out the story with the puppets.....reminder to self...must make gruffalo child ones too.

Introduce healthy eating, what foods are good, bad.

Read the book.
Create a monster with materials including the monster descriptions.

Learn about what kind of homes different woodland animals live in.
Talk about different skin coverings, fur, feathers, scales etc.

PSRN
Make Gruffalo bingo game.
Count birds when out and about.

Slither like a snake.
Flap their arms like birds.

CD
Make animal masks.
Go for a woodland walk and collect materials for collages.
