    Default St George for babies?

    Hi there minders!
Does anyone have any St George activity ideas for a 1 year old? Know it's all a bit over their heads but thought we could at least do something with the red and white colours? Not got any toy dragons and no time to get any. Not got alot of resources yet
    Many thanks

We did the typical flag making!!!!

I drew the outline of the cross on white card and the children put glue on it and used lots of red collage materials to make the cross.

Today we are doing shields- shiled shape cut out of card, we will be painting it grey and then colouring a dragon and sticking this on, maybe with some silver sparkly bits.

Tomorow we are making simple red and white hats- a white band of card with various red collage materials.

The rest of the week we are doing St George cross face painting and a traditional English tea party on Thursday, with iced buns and strawberry laces to make the red cross (thank-you for the idea, sorry forgotton who it was!).

Hopefully some of these can be adapted for your LO.

Flags here too - last year had a 10 month old she just used her hands and fingers to make a picture using red paint on white paper while DS 1 and 2 had a go at flags!

Ive done (in the past) a white piece of paper that I have given a little one a red easy painter and let them do their pic. When dry Ive cut it up into 2 strips then got them to help stick it down in a red cross onto plain white paper/card.

    Hope that makes sense
