    Default nursery rhymes

    Hi ( any ideas would be great)

    My nexttopic is nursery rhymes and im doing incy wincy spider first ,my mindee is 14 months old
    here are some ideas:

    plastic spiders in water
    making spiders
    making spider webs
    looking at spiders in garden and books
    spider biscuits
    spider shape potato painting
    cawling like a spider.

    I need help linking them to the eyfs id be happy for any other ideas for a 14 month old thankyou

    Make a drainpipe out of cardboard, make a spider out of pipe cleaners with a lolly stick attached and use it as puppets to act out the rhyme as you are singing.

    The children could hold some raindrops coming out of a cloud and a sunshine to move around at the right time.

    When you have finished, swap the puppets round so everyone gets a go

    thankyou good idea but would area would that link to, also what areas would my other ideas link to for obs

    hi crawling like a spider p.d looking at spiders k.u.w c.l.l biscuits c.d painting cd p.d water psrn kuw really depending what you are talking about and doing they link to lots but pick the area that you are trying to cover more hope this helps

    hi check out ***** for activities with links to eyfs areas you specify the age range too! something special have a session called singing hands and they sing incy whincy spider using baby sign, this is great to teach lo's for cll.
    ive made spider cup cakes with jelly laces for legs before, print colour in sheets for pd, control of equipment.

    painting a spider - creative
    - Physical fine motor skills/ eye co ordination
    - cll - learning new word
    - psr and numeracy counting spider legs
    - ku of world - talk about where spider live, what they eat
    - pse look at the childs picture the spider talk about feelings
    happy sad etc

    just remember they are 14mths old id do singinging nursery rhymmes give lo instruements to tap along to c.d, make a basket with puppets of nursery rhymmes, animals scarfs and fabric to play add anythink else related to nursery rhymme spoons ets. you could draw pictures or print out then let lo fingerpaint it. put a little water in a tray to splash in add colour, toys and observe sorry getting carried away now lol

    Handprint spiders - paint palm and 4 fingers (not thumb) with black paint then print onto white paper, do same with other hand overlapping the palms. Add googly eyes and you have a spider

    yes thats good ill have to look out for a nursery rhyme cd, nursey rhyme puppets ill have to find some of them, how bout putting plastic spiders in water or spagetti, all the activities i do do i have to do an observation on every one,

    there lovely thanks for the link.
    no you dont have to do obs on everythink you do.mainly the things that mean somethink ie first time, wow factors, progression, take pics and jot on back whats happening relate to eyfs if you want to do extra mummy will love photos
