    Default Gellibath - WOW

I've just discovered the wonders of gellibath, it's amazing!

It's about £5 for a packet, I got mine in Tesco a few weeks ago (2 for £8). So this might not seem the cheapest activity but it's worth it.

I've used my cat litter activity trays and put 2 litres of water in each. I have then added 10g of the gellibath powder. The gellibath comes in a 200g pack so there is enough for 20 trays (works out cheap after all!)

I had 2/3 children sharing a tray and this worked great.

I got some of that from Tescos as well, fantastic stuff, I split mine done into smaller amounts too, we all loved it. My daughter took a pack to guide camp and they had it in a paddling pool she's 15

It comes in a 200g bag but I weighed out 10g of the powder on the kitchen scales (with the help of the children!) The rest of the powder is in the bag, sealed, for use another day.

If it was just for one child I would probably do 1 litre of water in a bowl with 5g of the Gellibath powder.

I have no idea how long it would last but if you were making it up with 1 litre of water and 5g of powder it would cost 12.5 pence for each bowl.

At 12.5p I guess you could just throw it away and make a fresh batch up.

I was thinking of doing this when I saw it advertised on TV and then they mentioned it turning to liquid - How and when does this happen?

I just read the details about the Gellibath powder.

It's the same powder they use in disposable nappys, thought I recognised the texture after I washed a clean nappy in the washing machine once. Everything was covered in a crystally type gel.

It's totally harmless and the powder used to turn the gel back to water is simply salt.

Why is "phonics" not spelled the way it sounds?

For anyone wanting to buy some gellibaff I just found some on Ebay. It's £3.75 plus £1.99 postage.

Anyhow works out cheaper cause no fuel to go shopping either!

    Here it is......
