toy garage
I've never had a toy garage but I have seen a couple in charity shops recently. Are they worth getting? Obviously they are quite big, which is why I have always resisted. Are they like lots of other big toys that are exciting at first and then just become wallpaper and take up too much room?

I don't have one either Maza as they do take up a lot of room, I have a lovely big dolls house that was donated to me and at the moment it's in the shed as it wasn't getting played with. I think I might give it a clean and put it in the garden while the weather is nice. I am having a bit of a sort out today as I have so many bits and pieces all over the house, hidden under the beds etc. I am putting it in my shed and hoping they will be ok in there and not get damp.

I have a Fisher Price little people garage that folds in half ... I can say it really makes it much smaller though
.. just a different shape! I think I got it when DD was little, so it's probably 14/15 years old.
The children like it, but we don't have it out all the time. My neighbour has asked if ( at some point in the future ) I would like her tall fisher price garage thing that has loads of ramps ... I'm tempted, but no idea where it would live!
We've had assorted wooden garages at toddlers, but they just don't seem to be at sturdy as the fisher price ones!
I have a cupboard full of large fisher price sets ... garage, dolls house, roller coaster !!, ark, farm and assorted 'sheds/little houses/kiosk, roundabout' type things. Sometimes we get them all out and have a whale of a time, but I think if they were out all the time, no one would play and they'd get broken.
To be fair, my boys the other day, made car ramps using piles of books and big books, and it does seem to be the ramps they like best on the garage.

I don’t have the room to store anything big, so I buy things like that second hand (cheap!) and sell them or give them away when I’ve finished with them.
I haven’t had a play kitchen inside for a while but saw a lovely one being sold for £10 on a Facebook selling page. The children have loved it and play with it every day. Once I’ve noticed they’ve stopped using it so much I’ll sell it on again. I usually manage to get back when I’ve paid for things, so it doesn’t really cost me anything!
I’ve had several wooden garages, farms and castles over the years and have done the same thing - keep them for a short while them get rid of them. It means they take up space for a little while, but not permanently once they’re no longer played with. If the garages you’ve seen are a good price I’d get one and see how much it’s played with. Once it loses its popularity either sell it or give it back to the charity shop

I think a garage is like most toys, exciting at first but then doesn’t get played with. I have a wooden indoor kitchen and a wooden garage, they aren’t out all the time kept upstairs in the spare room.
Outdoor kitchen is the most played with toy .
